Our commitment to eco-friendly gifting extends beyond recycled, biodegradable, and reusable packaging. Whenever possible, we thoughtfully include durable, low-waste products made from environmentally friendly materials and sourced from eco-conscious suppliers, ensuring that every gift aligns with sustainable values.
In 2013, our founder, Kade Kimber, envisioned a Christmas ornament that didn’t exist. Determined to make it a reality, he mastered glass etching. A chance conversation with a boutique owner then led to retailing his ornament designs, laying the foundation for Oak City Gifts in 2014.
Starting with a simple setup on his back patio, Kade expanded to monogrammed drinkware, which quickly became best-sellers. As the business grew, it shifted focus to curated corporate gift boxes—delivering results that outperformed any engagement tool utilized in Kade’s 20-year marketing career.
Initially a side venture to his corporate role, the business thrived through word-of-mouth. Eventually, Kade transitioned to running the business full-time, ultimately expanding it into multiple brands. Kimber & Oak emerged as the custom gifting arm, helping companies deepen connections with their most valued relationships.
Today, Kade and his team work from their Raleigh-based warehouse and studio, partnering with some of the world’s leading brands to create unforgettable gifts—all inspired by one Christmas ornament.
